Founding:
The Tower of Hope was founded on the basis
to create a good RPing environment for those RPers who have been kicked out
of other Towers, IC or OOC, or just any RPer that wishes to join. The Tower
of Hope was created in July of 1999 by Foley Rollan and Amar Sedai.
Aes Sedai, Accepteds, Novices, Warders, and
Warders in Training make up the base of the Tower, but other exilements are
surely welcomed. Asha'men, Gleemen, Illuminators, etc. are all welcomed to
join the Tower, or just lords and ladies. Any realistic character will not
be turned down from joining the Tower.
RPing (Role
Playing):
1. Killing off another person's character is
against the rules, without prior consultation with the Amyrlin and the Character's mun (the person that plays the character), and if the
Amyrlin is not available to speak with then the Keeper.
2. No one liner RPs. Please don't clutter up
other's mailboxes with OOC messages and one liners. Try and combine some
RPs together if you can't think of anything more than a one liner or a 5
liner. Try and make the RPs lengthy. If you need to make an OOC message,
incorporate it with an RP.
3. You are allowed more than one RP character
under these circumstances: you have a different e-mail address for each,
the hall knows of the doubled character, and that you don't neglect RPing
either of your characters (*If you have a second character without telling
the proper authorities, dire measures will be taken).
4. No spammage to the string. (No forwards,
no chain letters, etc etc. If you have an OOC note, incorporate it into the
beginning of an RP)
OOC (Out of
Character):
1. This is an obvious, but no harrassing members
OOC. If this happens please send a log of the harrassment to
"Tower_of_Hope@hotmail.com" and the Amyrlin will review it and bring it before
the Hall for actions.
2. If there is a problem OOC and you cannot
RP, please email the Amyrlin with notice of this so she can know that you
wont be RPing, instead of neglecting it.
The Hall:
1. Hall members are made up of a Sitter from
each Ajah. When the Ajah exceeds 10 members a second Sitter will be
elected.
2. The Amyrlin will mediate the hall meetings
and not take a spot on either side.
3. The Keeper will log all chat room hall meetings
and keep a copy of the Hall's emails.
4. The Hall consists of a Sitter from each
Ajah (2 for more than 10 members), the MoW, the MoN, Keeper, and Amyrlin
(*When the Tower exceeds 80 members the AMoN and AMoW will be added to the
Hall).
5. All Hall members must RP once ever 3 weeks,
if they cannot, they *must* send an email to the Amyrlin to inform her that
they cannot.
Voting:
1. A voting counter will be elected prior to
all positions voting. The VC (Voting Collector) will receive the password
from the old VC for the VC account. Then he/she will change the password
to her/his own liking and tally votes and announce results to the Tower.
2. To vote you must have RPed since the last
voting period. If you have not the vote will be nulled.
3. ALL votes must be sent to
"toh_votes@hotmail.com" NOT the list. All votes sent to the list will be
nulled.
4. All votes will be considered equal. The
whole Tower votes for the Amyrlin, Keeper and
MoW. MoN is voted for by all Novices, Accepteds and Aes Sedai. Sitters are
voted for every election period by every Aes Sedai.
5. Voting takes place every 3 months: October,
January, April and July.
